Super Eagles attacker Iheanacho scores as Leicester beat Burton in Carabao Cup

Nigeria duo Wilfried Ndidi – Kelechi Iheanacho at Leicester City is enjoying a very successful season. The Foxes have been producing excellent performances in all competitions, and they gave fans yet another reason for celebration on Tuesday evening, beating Burton Albion 3-1 in the Carabao Cup last 16. Kelechi Iheanacho regained a much-needed confidence in the victory over the Brewers as he scored the opener for the Premier League side in the Pirelli Stadium clash.

Will Iheanacho return to the starting XI against Palace?

    No Premier League, no problem?

Kelechi Iheanacho has been in Jamie Vardy’s shadow in the Premier League this season, but head coach Brendan Rodgers obviously counts on the Nigeria international in cup competitions. The former Manchester City attacker broke the deadlock in a 4-0 win over Luton Town in September, and he added one more goal to his account in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Burton Albion.

Kelechi Iheanacho scored after an assist by Youri Tielemans that allowed him to put the ball into an empty net. The Super Eagles striker is hungry for a first-team football in the Premier League, but given Jamie Vardy’s thrilling form in the English top flight, Iheanacho is unlikely to play some part in Sunday’s clash against Crystal Palace.

Nigeria midfielder Ndidi to keep his place in the starting XI

Wilfred Ndidi has established himself as a first-team regular at Leicester City. Brendan Rodgers has likened the role of the Nigerian midfielder to Steven Gerrard’s whilst at Liverpool, and there is every chance Ndidi will start against Crystal Palace this weekend. The Super Eagles player has already scored two goals in the English elite division this term, but his main role at Leicester is to prevent the opposition midfielders from creating dangerous attacks.

Wilfred Ndidi often finds himself in the opposition box, and you should bear in mind that he is 10/1 at bet365 to find the net against the Eagles at Selhurst Park. As always, reputable bookmakers offer the lowest odds on Jamie Vardy, when it comes to anytime goalscorer. The experienced attacker, who has nine goals in ten appearances for the Foxes in the 2019/2020 Premier League season, is just 6/5 at 888sport to score against Palace.

Our Premier League round 11 betting tips

    Liverpool/Liverpool at 21/20

It has been 29 years since Liverpool clinched their last Premier League trophy. The Reds are determined to put an end to the negative trend, and it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to go all the way in the English top flight. Jurgen Klopp’s men are six points clear of second-placed Man City in the Premier League standings, but the league leaders need to keep on raising their form if they are to regain the domestic title. Since their next rivals Aston Villa experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Pep Guardiola’s men, we are tempted to put our money on the Reds on Matchday 11.

    Leicester City at 11/4

As we mentioned earlier in this article, Leicester City look unstoppable in the Premier League at the moment. The Foxes crushed Southampton 9-0 at the weekend, and it is no wonder they are considered favourites to win Sunday’s match against Crystal Palace. You should bear in mind that Wilfred Ndidi and Co. are 11/4 to record their seventh win of the season. In previous four meetings between the two teams in the English elite division the Eagles emerged triumphant, meaning that the Foxes are hungry for revenge.

    Chelsea at 8/5

Despite the transfer ban, Chelsea have been producing splendid showings in the 2019/2020 Premier League season. Frank Lampard is doing a great job with the Stamford Bridge outfit, and they will be looking to extend their winning run in the EPL to five games at Watford. Youngsters Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham, who have been in a perfect working order in the first half of the season, are likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders in the Vicarage Road showdown. The Hornets made a slow start to the season, and we do not believe that the rock-bottom side are capable of grabbing something from Saturday’s match.
