The Uruguayans like to play slow games, often interrupted with many fouls or set pieces, and that is why we can’t see some spectacular number of goals when they enter the pitch. Just a few teams in the world have such excellent defense, and the transition they make during the counter-attack is superb. If they score the first goal in the match, it is virtually impossible to come back as they impose their tempo and take the possession of the ball.
